Apple App Store
The US listing currently shows monthly, annual, and lifetime in-app purchase options. Open the App Store for the price and eligibility shown for your region and account.
Google Play
Google Play lists the app as free to install with in-app purchases. Review the purchase terms and final local price in Google Play before confirming.
Native app purchases are separate from VoltExam web access. The native app lists 1,000+ questions; the separate web practice bank currently contains 500 questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many questions are on the NREMT exam?
The NREMT EMT cognitive exam is computer-adaptive (CAT) and can range from 70 to 120 questions. You won't know exactly how many you answered — the exam stops when it's statistically determined you've passed or failed. Most candidates see 70–110 questions.
What is a passing score on the NREMT?
The NREMT uses a pass/fail model based on competency — there's no percentage score. The algorithm determines if your demonstrated ability consistently exceeds the minimum competency standard. You can retake up to 6 times within 2 years.
What topics are tested on the NREMT EMT exam?
The exam covers airway, respiration, and ventilation (~18%); cardiology and resuscitation (~20%); trauma (~14%); medical and obstetrics/gynecology (~30%); and EMS operations (~18%). VoltExam's EMT Prep is weighted to match these percentages.
